Raman Mohan
Chief Executive Officer
Raman brings with him twenty years
of varied experience in the travel
industry, having worked with some of the
world’s leading travel brands. His
experience encompasses Hospitality,
Travel Management, Media, Technology,
Aviation and Car Rental Services.
He began his career with Cross Section
Publications where he looked after
Advertising and Sales and was also a
member the founding team of the South
Asian Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE),
which is now South Asia’s largest travel
trade event.
In 1996 he moved to Amadeus heading
their Sales and Marketing in the Indian
Subcontinent working closely with the
Corporate Office in Madrid to launch and
position the brand and set up their
Sales Network across the region.
From 2001 – 2004 he was at Air Sahara as
Head – Marketing which saw him playing a
vital role in the repositioning and
expansion of the airline. This was
followed by a move to Mumbai as Project
Head to set up Emirates Holidays who
were represented by the Kuoni Group in
India.
Moving back to New Delhi he joined Hertz
in India as Head of Marketing with
particular emphasis on brand
development, strategic alliances and
inbound international sales.
Prior to setting up Media Matters he was
a co - founder and Chief Marketing
Officer of Dawnay, Day Hotels India with
particular emphasis on setting up and
overseeing the Sales & Marketing
function. The company was established in
2006 as a subsidiary of the Dawnay, Day
Group, UK to set up and manage a premium
four star hotel chain under its own
brand, TEN Hotels.
Sanjeev Kumar Gupta
Director
Sanjeev brings with him about thirty
years of corporate world experiences, in
the field of finance and accounting,
spanning India and East Africa. A
chartered accountant he started his
career with the B K Modi group initially
with Modi Xerox and then moving to Modi
Rubber, shouldering both financial and
corporate responsibilities.
When the BK Modi group partnered with
Sotheby’s in India , as the head of
finance, he managed the entire process
while liaising with the Archaeological
Survey of India and other related
Government bodies.
1995 saw him moving to Uganda for an
eight year stint in the hospitality
industry, working with a premier five
star hotel in Kampala as Chief Financial
Officer.
He then moved on to work with Service &
Computer Industries (U) Ltd, the largest
IT company in Uganda. SCI is responsible
for setting up over 90 percent of the
ATMs in use currently, besides holding a
majority share of all IT related
business. As CFO and Director, he
steered the company to double its
profitability.
Sanjeev has a deep and lasting interest
in sports and sporting events. He is an
avid sports enthusiast and collates
statistics and little known facts about
all major sporting events in the world. |
